Melvin Gordon, the Broncos’ starting running back, has found trouble with the law.
Gordon was cited on Tuesday night with driving under the influence and was also ticketed for speeding, going between 25 and 39 mph over the limit, according to News 9 in Denver. An arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 13.
“We are aware of the situation involving Melvin Gordon,” the Broncos said in a statement. “Our organization has been in communication with him and is in the process of gathering more details.”
Gordon, 27, is in his first season with the Broncos after signing a two-year, $16 million deal in the offseason. He is coming off his best game, running for 107 yards on 23 carries in a 37-28 win over the Jets he clinched with a late 43-yard touchdown run.
